Unveiling the Timeless Elegance: A Fashion Showcase at the Baldwin Hotel Museum

Klamath Falls, Oregon – The Baldwin Hotel Museum is set to captivate fashion enthusiasts with a remarkable showcase of vintage garments from its extensive collection. On Sunday, June 30th, at 1 p.m., the museum will host a fashion show that will transport attendees back in time, celebrating the enduring style and craftsmanship of bygone eras.

Rediscover the Allure of Vintage Fashion

Hundreds of dresses, suits, coats, hats, and accessories, meticulously preserved within the walls of the Baldwin Hotel Museum, will take center stage, offering a glimpse into the sartorial splendor of the past. This extraordinary event promises to be a true feast for the senses, as museum staff and volunteers bring these timeless pieces to life, showcasing them in the way they were meant to be seen – on a live person.

Preserving History, Honoring Tradition

The Baldwin Hotel Museum's collection spans the early 1900s to the mid-20th century, boasting an impressive array of designer names, including Justin McCarty, Max Kopp, Miss Serbin, Dolinsk, Berma Fashion, Jr. Miss, and Shantung. These garments have been entrusted to the museum by the estates of Jessie Gheller (formerly Miss Jessie Stevens), Roy Whitlach, Sally Kent, Alfred Collier, Janice Firestone, and others, ensuring that the rich tapestry of fashion history is preserved for generations to come.

Delicate Treasures, Carefully Curated

While some of the museum's garments are too delicate or historically significant to be worn again, the fashion show will feature those deemed suitable for light use, allowing visitors to witness the true splendor of these vintage pieces. "Some of our garments are too delicate or historically significant to ever be worn again, but many can be shown off in the way they were meant to seen, on a live person," said Todd Kepple, museum director for Klamath County.
