No morning is complete without a strong cup of coffee. If you need to add some flavor to yours, you don’t have to go out and purchase creamer when you already have all the ingredients you need in your own kitchen. Homemade vanilla coffee creamer is surprisingly quick and easy to make. It’s a delicious way to kickstart your day, and pairs well with fresh bagels or scones.

Coffee Creamer Tips

Here are tips for using homemade coffee creamer to get the best tasting cup of coffee possible.

  • Only add a small amount of creamer to your coffee. When you’re making homemade creamer, it might taste slightly different each time. That’s why you should only add a small amount to your coffee and taste it, then slowly increase the amount to make sure it tastes exactly the way that you want it.
  • Shake your creamer before drinking. When your creamer sits in the refrigerator, the components might start to separate. Simply shake the container a few times before pouring it into your coffee. This will create a creamy, uniform liquid that tastes delicious.
  • Store your creamer in a covered pitcher. You want to keep your creamer in an airtight container that is easy to pour from so that it remains fresh but easy to access when you’re ready for your morning coffee. If you don’t have a pitcher or carafe, then it’s a great time to repurpose an empty bottle from a store-bought creamer.
